In recognition of our efforts towards building this reality, the Managing Trustee of Mukul Madhav Foundation (CSR Partner of Finolex Industries Ltd), Mrs. Ritu Prakash Chhabria, is honoured to have received the esteemed Golden Peacock Award for Outstanding Leadership on Social Empowerment & Building Resilient Communities, at the hands of The Lord Johnson of Lainston CBE, Department for International Trade UK, and The Baroness Verma, Global Chair, Advisory Council, Institute of Directors (IOD). This award is globally recognized as a benchmark of corporate excellence amongst impact-driven leaders working in the space of social responsibility. We are humbled for this recognition and pledge to continue driving change through our work, every day.

In November 2023, we were honoured with the Global Fund for Widows' Corporate Catalyst Award at the Edison Ballroom, New York. This award was in recognition of MMF’s work to support over 700 widows in Osmanabad, Maharashtra, and beyond, providing agricultural training, financial literacy, and other initiatives to instil hope and prosperity. Sadly, widowhood, especially in rural parts of India, strips away financial stability, access to land, resources, and dignity.

We’re thrilled to share the news that Mrs. Ritu Prakash Chhabria, Managing Trustee, Mukul Madhav Foundation, has been bestowed with the prestigious Ellis Island Medal of Honor — a recognition that holds immense significance in the United States of America — for her profound impact on the lives and well-being of individuals and communities.

The Ellis Island Medals of Honor embody the spirit of America in their celebration of patriotism, tolerance, brotherhood, and diversity. They are presented each year on historic Ellis Island to a select group of individuals whose accomplishments in their field and inspired service to our nation are worthy of commendation. The Ellis Island Honors Society (EIHS), the medal’s sponsoring organisation, is proud that since its founding in 1986, the medal has been officially recognised by both Houses of Congress as one of our

nation’s most prestigious awards, and its honourees are recorded annually in the Congressional Record.

Since 2001, EIHS has presented the International Humanitarian Ellis Island Medal of Honor, which recognises individuals whose achievements on the world stage have significantly impacted the lives and well-being of others and whose professional, personal, or philanthropic contributions benefit our global community.

This year, the award was presented to two foreign individuals, one of whom is Mrs. Ritu Chhabria.
