About Us
Mukul Madhav Foundation (MMF) works with vulnerable communities and individuals to enable them to live a life with equal access to resources and opportunities through sustainable, long-term, and strategic initiatives
MMF was established in 1999 as an independent charitable trust under the Bombay Charitable Act 1950. From establishing Pune's first ever Pediatric Intensive Care Unit to inaugurating the Mukul Madhav Vidyalaya (a school for quality education) in the rural region of Ratnagiri, many Healthcare and Education projects were achieved in the initial 14 years.
In April 2012, MMF obtained the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act Certificate (FCRA), enabling receipt of funds from abroad and continued working towards helping the vulnerable lead better lives.
As the Indian Government mandated Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for corporations registered via the Indian companies act in 2014, several companies that qualified under this mandate started looking for NGO partnerships that aligned with their goals.
In 2014, MMF officially became the CSR partner for Finolex Industries Ltd., India's largest and only backward integrated PVC pipes and fittings manufacturer, extending its reach and social impact into sectors like sanitization, water conservation, social welfare, and more. MMF also continues to work as an independent entity in other areas of impact.
With this collaboration, Mukul Madhav Foundation has a special privilege of covering 14 out of the 16 Indian Government's CSR mandates and 10 out of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG). Both these achievements help the organization deliver on its mission of enabling the deprived to improve their quality of life and on its goal of creating a positive societal impact in a holistic manner.
From 2014 onwards, Mukul Madhav Foundation has partnered with several international organizations like Concern For Mental Health, UK, Royal College Of Pediatrics, Healing Little Hearts, and UCL for its initiatives in India such as healthcare treatments, training, and seminars. To enable MMF to work with its international partnerships and their expertise in a stronger and more seamless manner, MMF established its offices in the United Kingdom in April 2019. MMF UK is now an officially registered charity in the UK and works to support causes locally and in India.
